Call To Action

By helping users declutter and sustainably rebuild their closets, we can reduce the amount of waste that the fast fashion industry has produced while keeping the user happy with an organized space. With the addition of a professional shopper, users can fully transform their space into what they have always wanted, all while feeling supported.

Solution

Fixer Upper allows users to explore professional organizers and shoppers all in one space creating a smooth and stress free workflow. Users have a one stop for all their closet makeover needs.

Phase 1

Phase 1 was all about diving deep, uncovering hidden frustrations, mapping user needs, and scoping out a crowded market. By immersing myself in the problem space, I was able to connect the dots between user pain points and missed opportunities, setting the stage for a design that’s not just user-centered, but impactful.

Competetors Analysis

Conducting competitors analysis allowed me to see what is available on the current market and the gaps within the market.

Personas

Creating meaningful personas allowed me to better understand the users and their pain points. 3 Different users were created with different wants, needs and goals.

Journey Maps

User journey maps helped me understand the user in each stage of the closet cleaning process. There was a clear dip in emotions when users are met with the decluttering stage.

User Testing

User testing helped support my research and allowed me to better grasp user pain points. Participants were asked analyze their closet and provide feedback.

Phase 2

Phase 2 focused on finding solutions and shaping the final product. Using what I learned in Phase 1 and exploring new ways to connect professional organizers and shoppers, making sure they worked together with the user. I also worked on the look and feel of the site, making sure everything was clear and easy to use. User testing happened throughout, helping improve the design and create a smooth experience.

Web Application

Final design featured a clean and simple layout that showcase professional organizers and shoppers together with options to filter to get exactly what you need.

User testing supported the decision to combine both professional organizers and shoppers onto one page, instead of separating them as in the original design. This update helped reduce confusion for users.
